In this country, feminism often appears to be limited to academic or subcultural discourses, social work or neoliberal self-expression. Yet capitalist patriarchy determines the lives of women, queers and racialized people all over the world. A feminism that wants to change these conditions must therefore think and act transnationally.
Invitation to an evening with transdisciplinary artist Liz Rosenfeld to present the book Crossings: Creative Ecologies of Cruising, co-authored with Dr. João Florêncio. Selected passages from the book will be presented, followed by a discussion with dance historian and curator Eike Wittrock.
Privacy? No privacy Documentation, still life and (self-)staging have been central themes in Schwaighofer’s artistic work for more than three decades. A constantly growing oeuvre, which has also become an impressive archive, forms the source for the photographic works that will be shown at Qwien from June 17.
