Queer city walk for schools
Qwien has been developing and organizing queer city walks for more than ten years. As there have been an increasing number of requests from schools recently, we have developed a special tour for schools with the support of the Vienna Anti-Discrimination Office for LGBTIQ Affairs (WASt), which is aimed at high school students.
Content:
The walk leads through parts of the 9th district and addresses topics such as persecution during the Nazi era as well as the development of the community and queer biographies.
We have compiled the following documents to support teachers in preparing their lessons. In the individual handouts and glossaries, you will find a detailed description of the individual stages of the walk, background material on legal developments and a description of queer identities.
