Overview
An evening about homosexual love and its punishment under the swastika.
Love and punishment: Josef Kohout, Franz Doms and Walter Arlen. Three young men from different social classes who have one thing in common – they love their own sex. Excerpts from their biographies meet poetry, police reports and the songs of a forgotten voice in a reading.
An old man who has survived and a young man whose lives and loves end abruptly meet in a tale of persecution, loss, torture and death. Loosely based on the first homosexual anthem “Das lila Lied”, we ask the question: were they really so “different from the others”?
